The Company
Tenute Caracci is a farm based in Partanna, Sicily, which has passionately carried on the tradition of producing extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality for over 100 years. Since its foundation in the 1920s by Giuseppe Caracci, the company has always used completely artisanal production methods that respect the land, such as manual harvesting of the olives and milling in the oil mill within 24 hours of harvesting. Even today, Tenute Caracci uses traditional techniques such as umbrella pruning of olive trees and the use of plant protection products of natural origin, keeping alive the memory of ancient peasant practices handed down from generation to generation. Thanks to this non-industrial approach, the extra virgin olive oil produced keeps its organoleptic peculiarities intact, with a taste and fragrance reminiscent of those of the past.
The company, which today has 40 hectares of land cultivated with olive trees, vines and avocados in the fertile Belice and Modione valleys, is committed to directly controlling all phases of the production chain to guarantee quality and safety. The olives of the Nocellara del Belice variety, grown without the use of solvents or pesticides, become a DOP extra virgin oil thanks to cold pressing and controlled temperature storage.
